Indrapur Janta Adharbhut School Haripur -8

Program Spotlight: ECDC Excellence & Holistic Nutrition

Location: Indrapur Janta Adharbhut School, Ward 8, Haripur

Primary Partner: 2 van de 52 (Team Rob, Wijtze, and Marsha)

Lead Organization: Lifeline

At Lifeline, we believe that the first steps a child takes in their educational journey define their path for a lifetime. Through the generous and sustained support of the 2 van de 52 foundation, we have transformed the learning environment for the youngest members of our community.

1. Strengthening the ECDC Foundation

Early Childhood Development (ECDC) is the most critical phase for cognitive and social growth. Our program ensures that children in Ward 8 have a world-class start:

  • Qualified Teaching Support: We provide dedicated teachers trained in child-centered pedagogy, ensuring that every child receives personalized attention and care.

  • Modern Educational Materials: We have equipped classrooms with age-appropriate learning kits, toys, and visual aids that turn “school” into a place of joy and discovery rather than just a classroom.

2. The Integrated School Meal Program

Education is impossible if a child is hungry. Understanding the vital link between nutrition and concentration, we have integrated a comprehensive School Meal Program.

  • Nutritional Balance: We provide fresh, healthy meals designed to meet the daily nutritional requirements of growing children.

  • Incentive for Attendance: Beyond health, the meal program has significantly increased daily attendance and reduced dropout rates among rural families.

3. Implementing the M.E.A.L. Framework

To ensure our work is transparent and effective, Lifeline integrates a rigorous MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) system into the school’s operations:

  • Monitoring: Regular tracking of student health markers and classroom progress.

  • Evaluation: Assessing the long-term impact of 2 van de 52’s support on literacy and development.

  • Accountability: Maintaining an open dialogue with parents, the Haripur Municipality, and our donors.

  • Learning: Constantly updating our methods based on what works best for our students.

A Message of Gratitude

This program is a living example of what is possible when local leadership meets international solidarity. We extend our deepest thanks to Team Rob, Wijtze, and Marsha from 2 van de 52. Your belief in the children of Indrapur is not just building a school—it is building a future where every child in Haripur has the opportunity to shine.

“By nurturing the mind through education and the body through nutrition, we are creating a foundation that can never be shaken.”
